Despite the recent cold snap, fishing on Lake Kabetogama has remained productive. Fish are on the move, and anglers have had success using a variety of presentations.
Weed Lines: Spinners tipped with crawlers have been effective along the weed edges.
Reefs: Lindy rigs paired with leeches produced steady action around the mid-lake reef structures.
Depths:
Larger fish have been holding in shallower waters, around 8–10 feet.
"Eater" size walleyes are more commonly found in 20–25 feet of water.
Overall, a solid week on the water with multiple techniques producing — adapt to conditions and keep moving to stay on the bite.
